Ana Martínez Orizondo (AMO) is a Cuban born visual artist, poet, and Emmy award-wining producer living in Miami, Florida. Ana has exhibited in group shows at Miami International Fine Arts (MIFA), in New York at The Painting Center, View Center for Arts and Culture, East End Arts, and online at The Curator’s Salon and Visionary Arts Collective, among others. She collaborated with fashion designer Gabriela Hearst on her Fall Winter 2022 collection and was the inaugural artist-in-residence at The Chequit, Shelter Island with a solo show from her Tree Stories series. She is currently an artist-in-residence at MIFA. Her artwork resides in private collections and has been featured nationally and internationally in Vogue Mexico & Latin America, Orion, The Cut, Cottages & Gardens, Art Seen Magazine, and EcoTheo Review, among others. Her writing has appeared in Blue Mountain Review, Newtown Literary, and The Journal of Latina Critical Feminism, to name a few. Her first chapbook, That Place, won third place in the Finishing Line Press 2022-2023 Chapbook Competition and is slated for publishing in Spring 2024. She holds an MA in Liberal Arts from Florida International University and a BA in Latin American Literature and Communications from the University of Pennsylvania.
