Elissa Favero crafts essays that center visual art and natural and built places, and her writing has appeared in Ecotone, Terrain.org, The Rumpus, and River Teeth Journal’s Beautiful Things series. Winner of the 2023 Newfound Prose Prize, her essay Children of Rivers and Trees: An Abecedarian was published as a chapbook by Newfound in 2024. Elissa teaches visual arts histories at Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University.
